Trying to make the world a better place, Mandy Moore was busy making a visit to Capitol Hill in Washington, DC on Monday (March 23).
There to take part in the 2010 World Water Day coalition happenings, the “Only Hope” singer dropped by the Russell Senate Office Building before attending a rally with students from the Upper Senate Park.
Talking about the importance of clean water, Mandy told press, “Last year, my eyes were opened to the problems caused by a lack of safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene.”
Referring to her trip to Southern Sudan last May, Miss Moore continued, “Here on Capitol Hill, it’s hard for us to imagine what it’s like to face illness every time we’re thirsty but it’s a reality in Southern Sudan. It is an overwhelmingly tragic situation but the good news is we can do something about it.”
